Loved it, really should be 5 stars, the camp host was awesome, this site is spacious and has CLEAN restrooms...depending on the loop you're in (we were in D loop because we opted for electricity/water) you can have an amazing view of Blue Mesa. D loop does NOT give you a camp site view to Blue Mesa, but we still had a great time nonetheless and it was a brief walk for the kids to get to the "white-sand" beach, which was really nice!! The negatives: showers....still not really sure where they're at, we assumed they'd be in the restrooms (like most campsites) but they weren't, that was a big bummer and the terrain is a bit odd....if you're tenting some of the spots don't have the best/even terrain to set up, also there's not alot of shade, so bring a canopy. All in all we had a GREAT time, they have nice fire pits with adjustable grill covers (raise lower) which came in really handy and we stayed near the restrooms (which is where the water is also) since our party had a lot of women/girls. If you're ok without electricity and water (being close) I strongly recommend loop A, you'll have an amazing view of the lake, may opt for that next time! The campsite had some fun activities for the kids, they all became "Junior Park Rangers" while there and loved it; also no playground(s) if I recall correctly, however Blue Mesa makes up for all that. The lake is stunning, the water is clear (as clear as it can be, especially from what we're used to in the Denver area) You are able to beach your boat overnight (we did) but be cautious/consciencous of the rocks, but there are some good areas!
